Criminals using the roads in Norwich are being targeted as part of a special police operation.
Members of Norfolk’s Special Constabulary together with PC Dan Taylor and roads policing officers are targeting motorists committing traffic offences in the city as well as trying to disrupt criminals who use roads in the city.
The #opcalcomp team have been tweeting updates during the operation, which has been taking place today (Saturday, January 13).
Earlier in the day they seized two vehicles, both because the drivers had no insurance, stopped a vehicle which was untaxed and had no MOT and have also caught a driver doing 49mph in a 30mph zone.
While later in the afternoon PC Taylor confirmed they had seized another vehicle for having no insurance.
He tweeted: “No insurance, no excuse! Minimum 6 points & £300 fine. Why risk it!? @NorfolkSpecials @NSRoadsPolicing @RPFOUSgt.”
